As a Stores Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring instructors and participants have the right equipment, in the right condition, at the right time — supporting courses across campuses, including Pulau Ubin and Coney.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
Equipment & Warehouse Operations
- Issue, receive, maintain, and track outdoor training gear such as ropes, camping equipment, and other expedition resources.
- Perform general warehouse activities, goods handling, and equipment operations safely and efficiently.
- Manage deliveries, asset tracking, and transaction documentation using Microsoft applications.
- Ensure secure handling of gear and compliance with operational policies and 5S standards.
- Conduct loading, unloading, stacking, and arranging of cargo.
- Support cross-docking, shipment consolidation, and offsite top-ups for courses.
- Identify operational shortfalls and maintenance needs to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Support implementation of initiatives to improve equipment management and operational efficiency.
- Apply environmental protection procedures and uphold OBS operational standards.
Safety & Health (WSH)
- Perform WSH activities and risk assessments related to equipment handling and storage.
- Report incidents promptly and highlight safety shortcomings.
Technology Application
- Operate warehouse and asset tracking tools using Microsoft Office applications.
- Assist in applying new technologies to improve stores operations.
Job Requirements
- GCE N/O/A Levels or Higher NITEC/NITEC with 1–2 years’ experience in warehouse or stores operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to lift up to 25kg item.
- Willing to work rotating shifts and support multiple OBS campuses, including Pulau Ubin.
- Forklift license preferred
- Class 3 driving licence advantageous
- Passion for supporting outdoor education and youth development
- Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently
