Job Summary
The Senior Executive – Procurement supports the development of procurement strategies by monitoring inventory movement and reconciling supplies with established procedures. He/She performs forecasting, material planning and procurement functions in line with regulatory requirements, company’s ESG guidelines and policies and supports vendor management based on established supplier selection processes and criteria. With a clear understanding of customers’ needs and expectations, the senior executive - procurement enhances service quality by identifying and recommending innovations to improve work processes and systems. He/she will support the implementation of technologies and leverage on data analytics to enable efficient green procurement operations.
He/she should possess strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver work outcomes. He is also expected to engage in trainings and performance improvement opportunities to meet individual and business key performance indicators.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
- Deploy organisation's procurement activities based on established product specifications and customer needs as part of company’s supply chain operations in accordance to company’s ESG guidelines and policies.
- Adopt selection processes and evaluation criteria with suppliers to ensure fair competition as part of company’s supply chain operations.
- Prepare for and administer tender requirements and liaise with Quality Assurance and Warehouse for inputs as part of company’s supply chain operations.
- Perform inventory planning, tracking, and scheduling of stock movements and replenishment of inventory levels to ensure optimal inventory holdings as part of company’s supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance departments to setup systems to facilitate payment and collection processes.
- Address customer dissatisfaction of products, service standards while working with relevant parties to resolve issues in support of company’s supply chain operations.
- Maintain records and documentation of customer engagements on company’s ESG policies (sustainable procurement policies etc) in support of company’s supply chain operations.
- Engage in on-the-job training and performance improvement opportunities on sustainability.
- Facilitate the adoption of technologies, electronic tools and system upgrades to support productivity and innovation.
- Assist in the review of work processes and procedures using data analytics to provide data-driven insights for the planning of continuous work improvement activities.
- Support implementation of safety, health and corporate governance standards and procedures.
- File electronic and hardcopy documents according to standard procedures and requirements.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in use of MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications.
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement /Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent certifications. (Or equivalent professional qualifications) (with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and purchasing will be preferred)
- Diploma (with minimum relevant working experience in procurement and purchasing of 7 years)
