Job Summary
The Executive/Higher Executive – Sales & Merchandising contributes to Omni-Channel Retailing (OR) by active monitoring of payment from our customers, serving our existing B2B customers and implementing strategies to gain new customers.
He/she is required to be involved in developing and implementing merchandising strategies, analyzing sales data and market trends through various technological tools like dashboards and collaborating with suppliers and team members to manage inventory.
The Executive/Higher Executive – Sales & Merchandising will be expected to undertake business-as-usual activities such as managing B2B businesses and ad-hoc events (Pop-up events) as assigned by the management.
Analytical and logical, he/she is required to create attractive product displays, participating in sales activities, and assisting in planning promotions and marketing campaigns. He is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes and technology, involvement in projects amongst others.
Innovative, energetic, collaborative, and highly adaptable team player. Digitally-savvy and possesses a strong business acumen with a high level of initiative and capacity to work under pressure.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
Drive merchandising strategies
•Analyse customers' insights, market trends and business environment
•Review merchandising strategies and KPIs, based on evolving market trends, developing the core information required
• Assist in developing and implementing merchandising plans for various product categories.
•Develop pricing programmes for corporate clients
•Determine target consumer groups by product categories
•Formulate and Implement Comprehensive B2B Sales Strategies
Drive Category Management and Product Assortment
•Review the outcomes from customer feedback on social media platforms/various advertising platforms
•Develop new product categorisation models that are anchored on changing customer behaviour (e.g. new and existing consumers), transitioning away from distinct product hierarchies.
Drive product development
•Analyse product categories and availability of competing products
•Review new product quality and sales performance
•Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new products or improvements
•Contribute to product pricing and positioning strategies
Foster strategic partnerships
•Conduct market research to identify potential strategic partners, including suppliers, distributors, and technology providers.
•Conduct regular reviews and provide reports on partnership performance to senior management.
Deliver Service Excellence
•Build and nurture a strong relationship with loyal customers through knowledge sharing, positive attitude, and excellent customer service.
Drive Business Continuous Improvement and Sustainability
•Identify areas of opportunities and new ways of working by embedding sustainability considerations and principles
Workplace Safety and Health
•Facilitate WSH solutioning discussions around suggestions to improve existing processes
Implement Innovation and Productivity Initiatives
•Measure the effectiveness of sales strategies, customer experience by leveraging on data analytics tools/software and propose changes to enhance sales strategies and customer experience for retail outlets.

•Undertake any assigned projects / duties directed by Management (if any)
Job Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, retail, Supply Chain management or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in in merchandising, buying, or retail operations.
