Job Summary

The Senior Transport Specialist - Warehouse and Cold Chain Management is responsible to coordinate and/ or for the safe, efficient and on-time delivery of cargos. He/She is required to load, move and unload cargo, goods and products and support replenishment activities.

Being a part of a team, he/she supports transportation operations. He/She is also required to be familiar with the specialised handling procedures, where applicable. He/She also interfaces with customers, and exercises good customer relation management.

Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)

Business Administration Operations 

• Communicate requirements and activities to stakeholders
• Participate in value-based culture and a culture of accountability in the organisation
• Adhere to organisation’s governance, compliance issues and reporting processes
• Adhere to organisation’s data governance and protection processes
• Work with allocated resources within business activities
• Apply operational policies, standards and procedures
• Perform basic risk assessment
• Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives

Business Process/Continuous Improvement 

• Perform continuous improvement activities
• Perform documentation of business requirements
• Apply environmental protection procedures
• Perform activities to improve quality of logistics services

Safety and Health 

• Perform WSH activities to ensure personal compliance to requirements
• Perform safety and health risk assessment
• Report WSH incidents
• Suggest WSH solutions to address localised shortcomings in existing processes

Technology Application 

• Work with team members to support technology projects
• Apply latest technology to improve operations in own work areas
• Operate technology or electronic tools and devices

Transportation Operations 

• Perform transport operations within resources and cost allocation
• Execute transportation operation schedules to ensure timelines are adhered to
• Resolve customer relationship management conflicts
• Deliver logistics services that meet customer requirements
• Coordinate resolution of facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Monitor lapses in delivery of logistics services to customers
• Operate light transportation vehicles
• Operate heavy transportation vehicles
• Operate cargo-lifting and rigging equipment
• Operate lorry crane

Warehousing, Cargo and Material Handling 

• Perform cargo or material-handling security procedures
• Track cargo-handling schedules to ensure timelines are complied with
• Perform acceptance of cargo according to industry standards or sector requirements
• Apply advanced rating principles and state as well as operator variations
• Apply methods and techniques to handle dangerous goods
• Apply methods and techniques to handle time and temperature-sensitive cargo
• Perform cargo consolidation activities
• Perform transhipment and transloading operations

Job Requirements

Possess relevant driving licence & 3-4 years of driving experience (preferred)

Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience

• Minimum N Levels
• 1 to 2 years of Experience
