Job Summary
Lead Continuous Improvement (CI), Business Process Re‑engineering (BPR), and performance management initiatives across the STL Group by partnering with Business Units to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness, deliver savings targets, and support Business Excellence and governance requirements aligned to the Group’s strategy.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Delivery of CI and BPR initiatives aligned to STL performance and targets
- Timely consolidation, reporting, and follow‑up on Balanced Scorecard outcomes and CAPA
- Demonstrated improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, quality, and service performance
- Responsible for Business Excellence and ISO‑related governance requirements
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR):
- Lead and facilitate BPR, job redesign, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Partner with Business Units to review end‑to‑end processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical, sustainable improvements.
- Leverage digital tools, automation, data analytics, and appropriate AI‑enabled solutions to improve process performance and decision‑making.
- Conduct process mapping, analysis, and risk identification to support improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a structured repository of key processes, standards, and implemented improvements.
- Continuous Improvement (CI):
- Drive CI programmes across supported Business Units using Lean Six Sigma, structured problem‑solving, and change management approaches.
- Lead and facilitate CI and BPR projects that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost reduction, capacity, quality, and service performance.
- Support and track the delivery of assigned Group savings targets arising from CI and BPR initiatives.
- Work with Business Units and Finance to validate savings and monitor benefit realisation.
- Group Balanced Scorecard (BSC):
- Coordinate and consolidate Balanced Scorecard inputs from all Verticlas/ Business Units.
- Track performance outcomes and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Follow‑through on agreed actions to ensure timely closure and alignment with Group objectives.
- Business Excellence & Certification Support:
- Facilitate Business Excellence and ISO‑related activities and participate in internal audits and assigned certification exercises.
- Coordinate with Business Units and stakeholders on audit‑related matters and documentation requirements.
- Review and upkeep of management system documentation to support ISO alignment.
- Other Tasks: Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Requirements
SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
- Hands‑on experience in Continuous Improvement, Business Process Re‑engineering, and performance initiatives
- Lean Six Sigma (minimum Green Belt) with practical project application
- Working knowledge of Balanced Scorecard concepts
- Exposure to ISO management systems and risk‑based thinking
- Knowledge of AI, automation, and data analytics concepts, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate adoption
- Strong project coordination, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Good problem‑solving, communication, and follow‑through capability
- Understanding of business concepts, organizational knowledge, and profitability

Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
Tertiary: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business or a related discipline
Professional: Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt (minimum)
ISO Internal Auditor qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
Other: Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics, operations, or lean environment, with hands‑on involvement in CI and BPR initiatives. Exposure to Business Excellence/ISO, performance management, or Sustainability is an advantage.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) with good knowledge/ exposure to AI‑enabled and data analytics tools.
